
Located in southcentral Alaska in the Kenai Peninsula, Seward sits along
the coast of beautiful Resurrection Bay with Mount Marathon towering in
the backdrop. One road takes you into town along the Seward Highway which
leads you through the most scenic sights in Alaska.
It's a little town with a rich history which includes having the name
after William H. Seward purchased Alaska from Russia in 1867 for $7.2
million. The Mount Marathon Race that many consider to to be 2nd oldest
footrace in america and the original starting locating for the sled dog
race the Iditarod.
